Discordify Listing Guidelines

1. All listings

These rules apply to servers and bots equally.

• You must be authorized to represent the server, bot, or project you are listing.
• Listings must be real, active, and accurately describe what users will find when they join or install.
• Keep descriptions short, accurate, and easy to understand. No keyword stuffing, fake claims, or impersonation.
• Do not present unofficial projects as official, and do not claim partnerships or ownership you do not have.
• NSFW communities must be tagged correctly at submission time. Marking an NSFW listing as SFW can result in a permanent ban.
• No low effort or spammy listings.

2. Server listings

What is required

• The Discordify bot must stay in the server. It confirms that you control the server and it creates the invite link used on your listing.
• Invite links must be permanent. Temporary or expiring invites are rejected.
• If the bot is removed from the server, or the invite stops working while the bot is gone, the listing is removed from Discordify.
• Member counts and other server data are synced from Discord. Do not try to inflate or fake them.
• Bumps: one bump per listing every 2 hours, from the manage page or through the Discordify bot. Abuse disables bumping for that listing.

Limits

• Listing URL (slug): 32 characters max, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only.
• Server name: 100 characters max, taken from Discord and shortened if it is longer.
• Card description (the short text on search and tag cards): 250 characters max.
• Page description (the full description on the listing page): 50 to 2,000 characters.
• Tags: up to 20 tags, each one 50 characters max. Up to 5 of them can be marked as primary tags.

3. Bot listings

What is required

• The bot ID must belong to a real, public Discord bot. Discordify validates the bot before your submission can continue.
• You must own or manage the bot. Extra managers are added in the Developers section and must confirm the invitation before they can manage the listing.
• When the install count cannot be fetched automatically, the value you enter manually must be accurate. False install counts can remove the listing and restrict the account.
• Vote delivery is optional. API verification is available for every bot, and the vote secret must stay private.
• Clear statements matter more than features: say what the bot does and who runs it.
• Page media and background art are available to verified bots and to Premium (Silver, Gold) or sponsor listings.

Limits

• Card description (the short text on search and tag cards): 30 to 250 characters.
• Page description (the full description on the listing page): 100 to 25,000 characters.
• Listing URL (slug): 32 characters max.
• Tags: up to 25 tags.
• Commands: up to 250 commands, each description 300 characters max.
• Page media: up to 12 items.
• Reviewer note: 600 characters max, visible to moderators only.

4. Not allowed on any listing

These rules apply to servers and bots equally. Listings must also comply with Discord Terms of Service and, for bots and other automation, the Discord Developer Terms. Listings that break these rules may be removed, and repeat violations can restrict the account.

Any listing

• Illegal content or activity, including content that sexualizes minors, promotes terrorism, or incites violence.
• Hate speech, harassment, doxxing, and content that coordinates abuse against people or groups.
• Scams, phishing, malware, and links to pirated software, cheats, or cracks.
• Selfbots, userbots, spam tools, raid tools, phishing tools, token tools, and other abusive automation.
• Stolen code, cracked premium products, or copied branding presented as original.
• Selling or buying accounts, tokens, invites, members, votes, or installs.
• Misleading claims about partnerships, ownership, or official status.
• Fake member counts, fake install counts, manipulated votes, or other fake activity.
• Low effort, abandoned, or spammy listings.

Server listings

• Servers used to distribute, sell, or coordinate anything listed above, including stolen data, account or token trading, and paid boosting services.
• Servers whose listing shows explicit content in the banner, card description, or media while the listing is marked SFW.
• Servers that impersonate Discord, Discordify, or another community, brand, or public figure.
• Servers built around ban evasion, raiding, mass reporting, or other attacks on other communities.
• Servers with no real community, including invite dumps and servers used mainly to advertise other listings or products.

Bot listings

• Bots that mass DM, scrape member data, or are made for spam in general.
• Bots that collect credentials, tokens, or private user data without clear disclosure.
• Bots that are private, offline, or no longer do what the listing claims.
• Listings for bots you do not own or manage, or that you submitted without the owner's permission.

5. Review and listing statuses

How review works

• New listings and edits to existing listings are reviewed before they become public again.
• We may ask for proof that you control the server, bot, or project you are listing.
• We may edit, reject, or remove listings that are misleading, broken, unsafe, or low quality.

What the statuses mean

• Approved: the listing is public in search, tag pages, and the directory.
• Pending review: waiting for moderation. It is not shown in search or tag pages yet.
• Held for review: extra checks are needed before it can be approved. It is not shown in search or tag pages yet.
• Denied: rejected by a moderator. If a reviewer note was left, it is shown on the edit page. Read the guidelines, fix the listing, then save it again to send it back for review.
• Banned: removed for a serious or repeated violation, and management actions are locked.

6. Notes

Only public listing details are shown on the site. Internal reviewer notes, login data, payment metadata, and abuse-prevention records are not public. A denial reason is shown only to the owner of the listing and to moderators.
