ʀᴏᴀʀɪɴɢ ᴛᴡᴇɴᴛɪᴇꜱ. ᴍᴀꜰɪᴀ. ꜱᴜᴘᴇʀɴᴀᴛᴜʀᴀʟ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇꜱ. ᴀʟᴛᴇʀɴᴀᴛᴇ ʜɪꜱᴛᴏʀʏ. The Veil between worlds has never felt thinner…in more ways than one.
Jazz is booming. Bootleg liquor is stronger than ever. Perhaps power stays in the same five hands and the mafia has a tight grip on justice, but things are looking up in The Big Easy.
Those who live behind The Veil understand their place within it, and those who live beyond it are none the wiser. For hundreds of years, The Order and Their Concords have kept the peace between the mortal world and its haunting supernatural creatures.
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬. Four years of mortal slaughter on a scale the old blood had never accounted for.
The ones who came back from the war, Turned or Touched or changed by what they'd seen, do not feel like waiting centuries for some cards to fall their way. They want power in the simple way that only the newly Awakened can still grasp; 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘.
For too long, the supernatural have been ruled by The Olde, but now, they have so much to deal with in New England… 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐎𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬…
And the best place to experiment is in the shadows. The ghost of Storyville beckons. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑶𝒓𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏’𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒕-𝒌𝒆𝒑𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒐 𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒍𝒍.
The trains still run out of the city, if anyone ever wants to leave. 𝑨𝒍𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒐 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔. In fact, new faces seem to be arriving every week.
The music's too good, the night’s too young, and there's a very real chance it's the last place like it.
𝐒𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭. Pour a drink. Pick a side, 𝒐𝒓 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕.
The city will pick one for you soon enough.
Because The Veil between worlds has never felt thinner…in more ways than one.
