How listings get discovered on Discordify, what Free, Silver, Gold and the Weekly Sponsor actually change for your listing, and the real numbers we see from servers that upgraded.
Every listing starts on Free and is discoverable through the homepage, search and tag pages. Upgrading boosts the visibility of your listing; and for many servers that is the difference between a handful and hundreds of joins a day.
Your listing is live with basic visibility in search and tag results. Free gets you going, but most servers upgrade to truly stand out.
Priority placement in relevant search and tag results, plus 5 primary tags and premium analytics features.
Bigger priority than Silver, with a golden border and glow that makes your card stand out from the crowd.
Maximum visibility: always on the front page (if SFW) and guaranteed top position in all relevant search results.
These are averages, not a promise for your listing. Every listing is different: some sponsors bring in around 3,000 joins in a month, while others have topped 35,000. We go into detail below on what causes these big variations.
Below you will find three real Discordify listings and the joins they actually received. For each one we show a chart of daily joins, exactly which plan was active at each point, and what changed when the plan did. The first grew through Free, Silver and Gold over 90 days; the second is a shorter Free-to-Sponsor story. The last one shows a Free → Silver evolution.
A real server that ran Free for a week, Silver for a month, then upgraded to Gold. 90-day view.
One real server across three plans. The timeline and colour of the chart show which plan was active each day.
What happened: this server listed on Free and averaged around 4–5 joins a day for its first week. After upgrading to Silver it jumped to roughly 120 joins a day. Once it moved up to Gold, daily joins climbed to around 750, peaking at 1,032.
A real server that ran Free for 20 days, then bought a Weekly Sponsor for the final 10 days. 30-day view.
One real server across two plans. The Sponsor took over for the final 10 days.
What happened: for the first 20 days this server sat on Free with an average of about 8 joins a day. The moment its Sponsor Campaign started, joins exploded, 900 on day one and roughly 1,700 a day from there, peaking at 2,419.
A real server that ran Free for its first week, then moved up to Silver. 30-day view.
One real server across two plans. Silver took over after the first week.
What happened: this server listed on Free and averaged around 3–4 joins a day for its first week. The day it upgraded to Silver it jumped to 24 joins, then 36 the next day, before settling into a steady around 70 a day and peaking at 104.
The snapshots above are real. They are not a guarantee. How much growth you see depends on things that are partly out of your control: your niche and how trending it is right now, and how much search demand there is for it. Some servers get far less, even 5× less traffic than the examples above, while a handful do much better.
Buying a plan increases your visibility, but if you don't have the proper tags it won't make a significant difference. Tags are the most important part of your listing! When people look up for servers or bots on Google, Discordify will display tag result pages. If your listing doesn't have the proper tags it will not appear at all on that page, regardless of your plan. So, if you want to get as much value as possible, make sure you have the proper tags.
Another important point that needs to be addressed is the possible discrepancy between the Discordify Joins and the actual server joins. A Discordify join is tracked and logged on our website every time an user clicks the join button of your listing. If they click it more than once or decides to not actually join after clicking, it will still be counted as a Discordify join, hence the discrepancy.
What you can control is how appealing your listing is. A category does not need to be one of the most popular on Discordify to be successful, it needs to be searched for. If you want a sense of what is already working, see our breakdown of the most popular Discord server categories.
Demand also shifts fast. We have watched joins on servers about games like Arc Raiders or Helldivers drop rapidly in the same period those games started losing popularity on Steam. A listing that rides a wave while the wave is big can grow extremely fast; the same listing is much quieter once interest fades.
Not only the plan matters; your listing's content, votes and bumps also play crucial roles in its success and visibility. That's why even in the snapshots above we can notice a big difference between 2 different servers that had the silver plan.
Finally, remember who is browsing. A user who is just browsing and stumbles onto a sponsored ad is far more likely to click it if it is about a popular trend or a known game than a listing about a niche hobby or a very specific use-case bot (that probably even already exists). A premium plan improves your visibility, it cannot create demand for a topic nobody is searching for.
