# Muninn, your Discord companion

In Norse myth, Muninn was one of Odin's ravens. Odin sent him out to watch the world and fly back with word of anything that changed.

Same idea here, with fewer gods and more Discord. Point Muninn at your game server, a stream, or an RSS feed, and he'll bring the news home the moment something happens.

Why you might like him

One message, never a duplicate. Muninn edits the same embed instead of spamming a new one every update. Server goes down, server comes back, your channel sees it, and nobody eats thirty fresh pings.

Players, CPU, RAM, uptime, one glance, pulled straight from your host's API. If things are lagging, you'll spot the CPU number before anyone complains in chat.

Link a Twitch or Kick channel and Muninn posts the title, the game, and the viewer count the instant the stream starts. YouTube is on the way.

He'll deliver patch notes and dev blogs the same way. Hand him any RSS or Atom URL. Each new post shows up with a title, a preview, and a link back, plus your own message above it so you can ping the right people. Ten feeds per server.

Run as many watchers as you need. Minecraft, Ark, Valheim, a Twitch channel, a feed: up to five per host type, five streams, and ten feeds side by side, each in its own channel.

Every Discord server keeps its own watchers and its own credentials. Nothing crosses over.

The commands

`/summon`: Set up a watcher: pick a provider, enter the details, choose a channel. Muninn verifies the connection and posts the embed right away. |
`/status`: Grab the current server or stream status on demand. Only you see it. |
`/config`: Check what a watcher runs on: provider, channel, and a masked preview of your credentials (or the feed URL and custom message). |
`/despawn`: Remove a watcher. That one stops; the rest keep going. |
`/help`: A quick reminder of everything he can do. |

No config files. No dashboards. No second app to keep an eye on.

Getting started

1. Invite the bot: hit *Add to Discord*, pick your server, allow the permissions.
2. Grab your connection details: a token, an API key, an IP and port, a channel name, or a feed URL. One or two things, tops.
3. Summon a watcher: type `/summon` in any channel and follow the prompts.
4. You're done. The embed goes live immediately. Muninn checks more often when things are happening and backs off when it's quiet, so there's nothing to tune.
