One by one, across distant lands, the magi and spellcasters stirred... eyes fluttering open as if from a half-remembered dream. A feeling, as though they remained in a lucid dream, clung to them.
This was not the world they knew. The landscapes were fantastical, alien... even the faces, unfamiliar and unknown.
Even the stars overhead told stories in constellations they had never seen.
They did not belong here.
And deep within, they knew. That something had torn them from where they were... and cast them into this strange, distant dream.
